It's possible that there's not enough power. The problem with generic psu's is that even when it claims to be rated to be 500W, you can really only expect it to be half of that. Plus you have to take into consideration aging. The older the psu, the lesser is its capacity.
But just in case, can you try changing your sata power cable? I assume you're using a power adapter for your drive?
Also, when using the calculator, try putting the system and cpu load at 100% and capacitor aging at 20%.
update: finally installed a silverstone psu and guess what guys, its still the same problem. trying to update the bios to latest firmware now. crossing my fingers on this one.

this would be my last step. to wash it is just to clean it dba? d pa man cguro ni abog kaayo ako mobo kay wa pa man ni 1 year. pag sept. 2011 pa man ni. nya aircon sad ang kwarto so di kaayo exposed. but will think about this.

If it isn't 1 year yet, it is still under warranty. Don't go crazy yet like washing it, or the warranty will be void.
