The cool B&W treatment is pretty flat for me. The emote is good with the subtle smile pero naa pa gyud kulang. I would suggest try a gritty edge look or HDR effect look and not sure about the black cards..did you pp that??

hmmm...did you upgrade your cam? Anyway DOF is pretty good, but the negative space is in the wrong place. Murag naputol ang continuity tungod kay lingi man sya sa opposite side sa frame. The red vessel on her eye really distracts me most and I believe GIMP is capable of removing that.

For me sir I would consider these as snapshots. I would suggest starting researching about mixing ambient lighting and fill flash..

Yes Portrait ni, pero sorry to rain on your parade..saw some comments of this image in you flickr...pero para na ko over ra kaayo imong skin softening. I would also suggest not just focusing on the subject but the background to, kadtong mga cracks sa wall imo pud to unta gi PP.

Correct!!!..its good you can interpret what was wrong or missing in your image. Anyway just to point out that its ok to have more head room as long as there is something interesting or it can compliment sa subject (e.g. sky with clouds, sunsets, color of a flower garden, etc.)
