just yesterday I tasted fried TARANTULA by my friend in davao..

he also offered me this exotic foods:


1. centipedes (stir fried in oyster sauce)

2. corn snake (fried)

3. flying lemurs (roasted and topped with fried garlic)

4. philippine macaque (a.k.a Philippine monkey)

5. Ostrich Egg

6. Ostrich meat (I like the leg part and wings because its so crispy when fried perfectly)

7. Queen Ants (gihimong sisig topped with eggs)

does frog legs and escargot count? I've had a cricket during our trip to Pampanga in 2006. Usa ra ako gikaon, lamoy dretso nya tubig dayon. don't ask for the taste kay wla q kabantay. ang lamas ug sili ra ako nalasa. it was sauteed crickets.
