1.) seldom do. the rules are enough guide on whether threads should be closed/deleted or members reprimanded.

2.) enjoy in a sense that i won't frustrate myself seeing that i cannot do anything about rule breakers. it can be a demanding responsibility, however. you have to see every issue/complaint from the point of view of "fairness", something that is not much appreciated by all, since everyone has his/her own biases.

this might sound strange for many who are too used to hierarchies, but i still consider myself as a regular istoryan. i post threads, i share thoughts, i learn new things with each interaction, the way i have been doing for the past few years. being a moderator in this forum is a responsibility that the admins shared with me. it does not define my existence in the boards.

3.) since i do not see being a mod as a privilege or a title, i do not see it that way. i see no reason/need/circumstance that would require such weight to be used in anyway. besides, i do not have authority over anything here. the site is owned by the admins, not the moderators.

4.) i have done that a number of times in the past few years. mainly to take a breather for a few months. when i come back i always see new user names i've never met before.

5.) it is not really just a "someone", but more like what that someone does. and by saying that, there are a number of them who does the same exact thing; willful disregard for the sensibilities of others.

1.) i became a mod early 2004 (i think). so you do the math.

2.) yes. when i had too many things on my hands and i could not go online as often as the responsibility requires.

3.) i see things from outside the box. the downside to it is there is too few people whom i can share it with who can appreciate the view.

1.) curious question. the Corona impeachment is much more complicated that a mere "guilty" or "not guilty" verdict by the Senate standing as the Impeachment Court. whichever the tide would turn, there are dire consequences for this nation. i could expound on this, but if fear that i will eat up too much space reserved for other things. but one thing in clear, i am on the side of truth, however painful and divisive it is.

2.) due to schedule constraints, among other things, i will not be joining the throng of lovers on the resto's and malls in the city. people celebrate lover's day because they do not celebrate it everyday, after all.

3.) i have very flexible specific goals.

1.) tempting, but i don't want to drop names for obvious reasons.

2.) the country has close to 100 million people, most of which are poverty stricken. i do not want to do my share and add a few on top of it.

3.) depends on the mood. right now, "Fight Club".

4.) being dumped is a challenge mainly to one's ego and idea of self worth. the best thing is to shy away from things that can exacerbate the damage, and do things that will constructively give emphasis to your self worth. hating that person is a no-no. recreating yourself and making yourself better should be the way to go.
