Bro, as far as I know, there is no travel advisory released by the DOT! Other countries do make travel advisories for their citizens going to other "hot spots" in a certain country. To issue a "Travel Advisory" would run contrary to the selling of the "Tourist Spots" in the Philippines .. and lately, Tawi Tawi was featured due to the presence of migratory birds, sea turtles and pristine sea and sugar white beaches ... and maybe this is the reason why the two Tourists went there ... let us stop this blame game .. mura man ug kadaghanang mga tawo ngari sa atoa misunod sa way pulos nga kinaiya sa presidente ... If we want more tourist to come to the Philippines ... then let us provide Security for them and for the local people... it will be a good investment that will surely bring in more dollars to an economy otherwise limping already .. and this administration is trying to distract all of us by impeachment or other gimmickry ... It's more "fun" in the Philippines .. more kidnaFun in the Philippines .. more holdaFun in the Philippines.

This admin blame-game is starting to annoy me. It's more of an alibi strategy to cover up their failures. Naliwat naman tingali sa ilang leader.. How can this present admin learn and grow if they will just deflect 100% all accusations and criticisms against them?

they know the risk and they took it. maybe DOT should be careful with their statements since it people (and the press) can come up with millions of interpretations.

partly the tourist´fault - for being so courageous to go to a place that is kidnap plauged. I mean every filipino knows that that place is a kidnap prone area then why go there? And for pete´s sake decline the offer of military escort? Duh?!
Government´s fault for allowing them to go to that area with no security escort.
