First Wave for you gareb
1. They say that the choice of avatar simply speaks of your personality. Are you by any chance depicting your true self through the man in the avatar? Please shed us some light on this one.
2. Which do you enjoy more... a drinking binge or a mean foodtrip with your buddies? Why such choice...
3. What jump starts your day? And how do you end your day after a daily work grind?
4. If you are a new product in the market, how would you advertise yourself? What kind of branding would you want to project to the consumers?
5. Lastly, please indulge us with an acrostic poem out of your handle, gareb. A spontaneous verse that best defines YOU in a nutshell
Kudos gareb![]()

accepting the challenge. here goes nothing.
beyee:
1.) once upon a time there was a man, with man-made wings , who came too close to the Sun.
2.) any of the two would do, but if i would be granted to make choices of my own, i'd go to a windy beach and watch a sunset. or watch the stars atop a hill, just above the city smog.
3.) my day does not start in fixed times, but caffeine is a main fixture throughout. a day is bland and uninteresting if i cannot trade perspectives with anyone. winding down usually means a quiet time with a book, or my fingers dancing over the keyboard, or a spur-of-the moment wandering down the city's silent streets at 3am.
4.) i am afraid if i was, i'd be a flop. i'm not keen to positioning myself as such. advertising reaches out to consumers to connect product with need, and sometimes, whip up some hype even to create the need itself. it's giving me a headache.![]()
5.) this is a tough one. raincheck?![]()

“What we call chaos is just patterns we haven't recognized. What we call random is just patterns we cant decipher. What we can't understand we call nonsense. What we can't read we call gibberish.” - Chuck Palahniuk
Hmmm sounds Icarus to me and I perceive that you likened yourself to him based on your experience that you succumbed yourself to temptations to the point of defying the norms of society... The sheer pleasure you get from the hype of being so high and free that you got yourself burnt from the hot embers of fire which is the reality...
Oh well but then again I may be wrong
We'll be looking forward to your GAREB acrostic poem G
Thanks for being so profound yet candid.

boss, first wave...![]()
1. What is it people don’t like about you?
2. What books have you read lately that you enjoyed?
3. Do you like to get wet? Why?
4. When are you most alert morning or night? Why?
5. What is your ideal date?
welcome beyee.
ryeaka:
1.) i can be wordy and circuitous in my explanations. instead of joining in on the party, i could just sit back, be quiet and enjoy observing the crowd. i find corny jokes distasteful, and TV shows that show "confrontations" (Face to Face, Personalan) a murderous insult to the public's sensibilities. i find politics engaging, and showbiz inane.
2.) "God of Small Things" (Arhundati Roy) and "Heartbreak & Magic" (Ian Rosales Casocot). i do not mind reading these over and over again. pure pleasure.
3.) in the right circumstances, yes. metaphorically, if by that meaning having my vulnerabilities exposed, yes, but only to the right people, those that i trust.
4.) i'm a night person. i have a quarrel with the Sun.![]()
5.) something a little bit out of the ordinary. dinner is cliche. i'm thinking along the terms of being in a poetry reading session. or a theater presentation. or pick up some brushes and crazily color some canvass away. talk while making some silly sand castles on the beach. walk barefoot while trading life stories. i wish there was somewhere in the city where i could take someone to teach us both how to make clay pots. image in mind: scene from the movie "Ghost". then again that too is cliche.

1. What is your personal view of this statement:
"The language that all people understand is that of love "
me next...
1. 1 thing that you want to do but haven't done yet?
2. 1 thing that you want to do but can't do?
3. if given the chance to choose a power (supernatural) what would it be? y?
...
4. What happens when a unstoppable object hits an immovable object? (hypothetical)
THE KID:
perhaps they say it because they understand the supposed universality of Love, therefore they can relate to whatever action one takes in its name. and since Love is something that everybody supposedly longs for, everybody can understand the language of Love.
the key is Empathy. if you do not have this, the language of Love is a gibberish alien language.
