guys, nag browse ko sa cnet pero mostly bati man mga reviews... ask unta ko ninyo sa inyo experience unsa may nindot na portable/externall hdd. i will use this to back up documents, pix and other important stuff. naa koy dvd writer pero hasulan man gud ko cge back up daghan na kau cds.

i dont need those very big storage ones.. ok rana 180 gb and below. kana lang jd unta reliable na very little chance of conking out

where nmo buy? how much sad? plug and play lang? does it come with software for automatic file back ups or soemthing?

for notebook im using this 80G Toshiba but Smartdrive ang casing.ok ra man up until now no worries pa man sab

palit ug hard disk nga ordinary.. nya palit dayun ug casing para sa hard disk sa CDR king.

HDD sa laptop + casing (cdr king) = External HArd disk

naa mi japanese nga customer ingon ana iya gi buhat. ok ra baya. mura siya ug high capacity nga flash disk hehehe

@aditti: choose those handy / portable drives (the size of a laptop HDD, not those IDEs) that has anti-shock capabilities. this way, your HDD wont be easily damaged while traveling on a trip. alternatively, you can buy flash memory / thumb drives but they're too pricey if higher capacity is needed.

this doesn't need any external power source. just plug it into 2 USB ports.

ooh..thanks spookey but i called both pc expresses here sa cebu wla daw cla. one had an 80 gb mobile seagate but u had to put enclosure pa. im getting the 100gb nlng at 7k... reasonable price?
