Urband legend guro ng makaguba ug hdd ang power saver. kung tinuod man na, big news and big blow to microsoft na.

ok ra man ng powersaver settings. if you're using a laptop and windows 7. if you check the advance settings of BALANCE power plan.

IT turn's off HDD after 10mins when on battery, 20mins when power plug is connected.

guba na unta ako laptop/computer kung makaguba ni nga features.

the only disadvantage of powering off the HDD is it takes longer to restart it.

ang makaguba sa imo hdd is kung kalit nimo off imo pc. while gatuyuk ang hhd then suddenly power went off, maka guba gyud na.

so no, dili na makaguba. nara na nimo kung ok ra nimo hinay mu restart/on ang pc.

IMO similar sa brownout2x, turn off power, pagpower on taas ang spike sa electric use especially sa initial spin-off sa waffer, more stress sa internal boards sa hdd = less kinabuhi.

Power saving? if thats the case, I think no need naman tingale change settings sa imong power options... anyway, dili man sad kaau kusog mo consume ug kuryente mga PC labi na home or office use lang. Feel at ease nalang using windows default/recommended settings...
