actually, the bleach only acts to keep the water clean and algae-free. I don't think bleach or the component sodium hypochlorite acts that way. I'm pretty sure it doesn't react with light but change the properties of molecules that contain chromophore in dyes and pigments. the refracting action of light is attributed to filtered/purified water in the bottle.
Mayta naay long acrylic tubes para magamit sa balay nga may kisame.
have seen this aired on a television (can't remember the show), indeed a good innovation, it really create light...there are areas in Philippines which using this innovation. nice...way kas kuryente...
actually we used this before way back when i was in high school pa sa amo boarding house.. except we did not know bout adding bleach..tubig lang. we pre-date this innovation by more than 20 years..
but this solar light bottles is only applicable sa mga flat areas ug walay mga tall things na maka create ug shade sa area sa solar bottle..like subdivisions and duplex type GK houses.
