You wanna make your own gravy? Really easy and not commercialized, ergo, it tastes better. Gravy is a combination of brown roux and brown stock or chicken broth.
To make roux, brown half a cup of all purpose flour in an unoiled pan. Once brown, mix one third cup of butter and mix until you don't see lumps anymore. Pour in 1 cup of chicken stock or chicken broth (if you don't have chicken stock ready). You can make broth by boiling half a maggie chicken cube in half a liter of water. Lastly, season with salt and lots of freshly ground pepper. Stir your gravy until it's velvety smooth and you can see none of those lumps from your flour.
For best results, you should use chicken stock. But making stock involves boiling chicken bones and vegetables for at least 4 hours, so that's gonna be a lot of work for you.
