I've come to bump on this excerpts where according to one of Google Engineer, deleting the 'batterystats.bin' won't really improve the battery performance or usage of your battery... I myself have tried this method of deleting the batterystats.bin using the recoverymode and also using the root explorer (/data/system/batterystats.bin) but I find it very interesting that Google acknowledged that this process doesn't really do much in getting an optimal performance on our battery...

guys my phone is in cyanogenmod7 gingerbread but i cant use mobile internet using mobile network, unsaun ni?
i can use wifi though
fyi: my phone is gaga IDEOS 1 sa huawei and i dont think globe or smart is supporting it

Cyanogenmod should have provided the APN by default but just in case, make sure you have those. Check network connection preference and choose "WCDMA only".

was successful in rooting my Xperia X8 with superoneclick

but after installing cyanogenmod7 gingerbread my phone is in a boot loop

Never encountered BLoops on my x8, my steps for flashing is always

Flash official 2.1
Unlock bootloader
Root with superoneclick
Install CWM recovery using x8 tool
Full wipe on recovery data/cache/dalvik

MiniCM 2.1.6 (GB 2.3.7)

be very extra careful on unlocking the bootloader on xperia X8.
you may end up with a hard brick phone.
look at your manufacturing date.
turn off your phone. removed the battery.
somewhere there should read like 11W28 and the like...
11W28 means that it was manufactured on 2011 week 28

if you have 11W28 or later, proceed with caution. some were lucky, some were not.

Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Preferences > Set it to "WCDMA Only" (or WCDMA preferred).
