rodsky, this is a nice idea but we have tried it when i was in college. it never worked. it only takes one member of the group to lose one book and the system crumbles.

if the level of passion as book readers extends into caring for the book itself, considering it is a lent book, dili gyud unta na mawani or mawala bah. sumtyms, coveran pa gani as a token of thanks for having read a good book.

^how about swapping permanently or passing the book forward?

Okay I think I'll do this: I will pass on to someone Steve Jobs (by Issacson) to anyone interested, but he has to promise (cross his heart) that the book will not stay with him. He has to pass it on.

    any takers?

Passing on books, I like that idea. I have many books here nga sayangan ko ilabay. I'd rather pass them on than see them go to the trash can... Worst case scenario na guro ang recycling center. Hehehe

Though... I still need to look for where I stored them. I know I have Ayn Rand, Robert Ludlum and the the author of "The Haj" (forgot his name sorry).

I have lots of book to pass pud. I've been running out of shelf space. Let me know if there's anything particular that you want. I might have it.
