dpende if what interface imo old HDD, if PATA adto jud ka padulong sa ASUS P8H67 M EVO (if locally available), or else purchase a PCI card IDE controller. pero ug SATA na imo HDD then no probs sa interface....

New systems means new set up new format, labi na ug magchange ka mboard with a different chipset need ka to reinstall all your apps para dili mag driver conflict or any problem mo occur sa imo new system...

You can retains files, but magkaproblema ka sa mga programs/applications previously installed if possible reinstall jud.. better to back up your important data first....

Im lurking on this Mboard kay naa pay PATA controller onboard, sayang ako 120GB WD ug benQ DW800 writer almost 7 years na still working pang back up lang...

yes you can still use the files but the program you need to reformat because it detect the new peripherals that needs to install its driver.

if your old hdd is sata/ide make sure your new motherboard support with sata/ide so that you can reuse it.

and before that make sure you back-up your files first.

Soundcard: Creative SB X-FI Xtreme audio PCIE

if your not those of the audiophile types that really requires a decent dedicated sound card then this is not necessary..

your Mobo: Asrock P67 Extreme4 already has 7.1 CH HD Audio/THX TruStudio PRO which is just comparable to the 7.1 Dolby/DTS in Creative SB X-FI Xtreme

my suggestion..
- use the built in sound card in your mobo
- save the money for the Creative sound card, skip it, and go buy urself a good speaker instead

Total budget is around 35-40k, but I spotted something at the bottom of the PCI srp pricelist...

I counted a total of 13 components, Mobo, Proc, GPU, PSU, Mouse, Keyboard, Sound Card, Monitor, Cooling System, Casing, OS and Kaspersky Antivirus and Internet Security..

So 5x13=75% off?? At least that's what I understood xD

{onboard sound + good speakers} is better than {good soundcard + cheap speakers}
