ps3 update 4.0 freezing applications

PlayStation 3 firmware 4.0 update is causing PS3's to freeze. Reports are still coming in but those who are reporting this issue are playing Modern Warfare 3 or Skyrim. Seems the freeze happens during game play as well as normal PS3 usage.

bro i read somewhere that you need to re install the firmware update via usb.

i'm using v4, experienced this on uncharted 3(r3 metal case) cinematic most of the time but not during the gameplay. i really thought it had something to do with the game encryption.
