same premise sa Y2K. People were so scared of the coming "calamity" that they stocked up on everything and anything. Ang malipayun? ang mga nag baligya sa consumer products oi. All thanks to the media's propagating of the scare.

Pero personally bai I think mas maayo nga naa kay stock gamay just in case something happens. You don't have to stock up supplies that's good for 6 months or more. Especially La Niña season is coming up. Sa gi ingon pa nga it's better to have something and not need it than need it and not have it.

maayo lageg consistent pud nga naay stock. The thing I remembered in late 1999 was that people stocked up more than usual, even those who did not have the habit of stocking up. And media hype was responsible for the clamor. Now, I have nothing against taking precaution, but that was nuts back in 1999, and I'm sure we'll be seeing the same later this year.
