The harder part is providing hard evidence to claim the phone, maybe by presenting the official receipt bearing the phone's serial number/identification numbers if you still have it.
My gf recieved 2 numbers. Which means, the sim card has been changed Twice on it so i doubt its been bought yet. AND, it is Locked with a password to access the menu.
I still have the IMEI and official receipt of the phone.

    LBS - location based service.

Accuracy is within 500m to 1km radius, affected if there are lots of buildings/structures that can reflect signals, giving false data.
SMART already has this sometime 2003 or 2004.
GLOBE followed two or three years after.
Try exploring your SIM Menu, basin naa dinha ang LBS sa inyong cellular provider.
...could be named as person finder or place finder or locator...

The TS was talking about a software installed on the phone...I saw it in Symbian OS, mostly Nokia phones..ambot lang kaha sa Android or iOS. If the original software was not flashed, then everytime a new SIM is inserted or everytime the phone is rebooted, as long as it has load, it will automatically send SMS(the # of the inserted SIM) to the programmed MIN.

Globe tracker or SMART locator is SIM based.
if the SIM inserted is not enrolled or is not known by the tracker, it is useless.

You can only track a number if it explicitly allowed you to track it.

TS, befriend the new owner of the "stolen" unit.
If medyo 'close' na mo, arrange a meet up and tag along a plainclothes police officer or bisan ang uniformed officer.
Dad-a lang ang box or receipt sa imong phone...ebidensiya nga imoha ang unit tungod sa IMEI nga nakatatak sa box.
dial *#06# to display the IMEI on the phone screen.

Asa man ka karon?"
Na timing nga babaye ang nakapalit, unya nadala sa gulat...nabalik ra gyud ang iyang phone. Pero nagdala gyud siya ug police pagkuha niya sa phone...gi tagaan lang niya ug pang snacks ang police. hehehe.
