this is from my personal experience..

nag gamit mig calendar method sauna.. but then i got pregnant.. i counted again and again pero sakto man jud.. we did it on a day i wasn't supposed to be fertile.. even among OB nahibung ngano na-pregnant ko.. meaning, sakto akong pagcount, pero nausab akong cycle right on that month.. ingon among OB tungod daw cguro sa stress, kay nag med school man ko atong panahona..

@marius: it's not on the 14th day of the cycle nga mag-ovulate, but rather 14 days before the next expected period.. the first part of the cycle (before ovulation) is highly variable among women.. but the second part (after ovulation) is 2 weeks jud..

but of course, if you use a strictly 28-day cycle (which most women don't have kay it's a range man jud), 14th day and 14 days before next menstruation is the same..

my friend always have unprotected s*x on the 4th day or 5th day of her menstruation every month,.. hangtod karon wa daw xa mabuntis.. and i tried to google the same situation but daghan man nabuntis.. hehe

@reginakrys, this myt be a personal question to ask, but during wat day (1st day of mens as day 1) mo nag s*x?

^^ I think DAY 1 of the mens cycle, mao na ang first day gedugo pa ang girl... Usually ang DAY 5 or 6, mao na ang peacetime...

^^ Mao boss marius! Ang first day, mao jud na ang naanay dugo, whether spotting or full mens na. (Mura ta ug suheto ani da... ma uwaw langko... )

At the end, depende jud na if normal ang cycle sa girl. kay naay uban normal 26-28 days, ang uban 20 days ra dug-on dayon. Ang uban layagonon, moabot ug 35-38 days..

Rule of thumb lang, if dili pa kaayo mo intimate or close sa imong ka partner, mas safety jud nang within 3 days nga nahuman na iyang mens, hala, birada mo dinha, no holds barred!!... moabot na gani ug 5 days, ride at your own risk na....

can't remember basta it was outside the "ovulation period".. and mind you, i don't use 4 days around ovulation as suggested, i use 5 para UNTA mas sure.. lols, emphasis on UNTA kay nasipyat man gihapon.. =D

gi explain lang nako nga lahi ang 14th day ug 14 days before next expected period.. kay naa unyay mugamit anang 14th day=ovulation day maskin dli 28 days ilang cycle..

no, basin wa ta magkasinabot.. im saying nga 5th day sa menstruation.. meaning ang dugo is still present..
