it depends on you how many LEDs you are going to connect in parallel. resistor value may vary depending on how many LEDs you are going to use.

you can modify the circuit.
you can even use LED strips instead of ordinary LEDs

naa ra ang diagram Boss Siopao, silbi kung series @12 VDC wa nay kinahanglan ug resistor, pero kung parallel @5VDC that`s the time nga naa nay resistor, basta ang importante lang nga di mu exceed ug 3VDC ang tiil sa kada LED and I think 1 watt can handle the total load of 4 LED`s, pwede pud isa-isahon ninyo ug butang ang kada LED maski 1/4 watt lang kada isa, basta di lang mu exceed ug 3VDC ang kada LED, my best guess would be 150-200 ohm 1/4 watt kung isa-isahon
Applicable lang ni ang isa-isahon ug resistor ang LED kung dili identical ang resistance sa kada LED, ex. different colors or different LED manufacturer, kay naa sad ra ba nga scenario nga dili musiga ang ubang LED kung i-parallel kay la-in2x ug resistance ang kada isa ka LED...Last edited by KH0UJ; 12-28-2011 at 10:01 PM.

Here`s mine sauna im using a 14 LED (7 LED per channel) VU meter and powered by the 5V rail, ako ning kinuha nga circuit sa old car stereo nga naa to nga VU meter circuit scavenger man gud ko sauna hehehe, aw until now di-ay hahaha...
