The problems with TOSHIBAs and other branded Laptops like HPs are too much running applications! just go to msconfig and disable unnecessary services and startups! usually daghan na kaau kog nakit-an nga mo apil ug sign-in ang yahoo messenger ug skype inig boot... sa pag config rana...

1. press "windows button + R" then type "msconfig"
2. under the "Boot Tab", click "CPUs" button and Select the maximum numbers of CPU to be ran at startup. If you have quad cores then select 4.
3. under the "Services Tab", check "Hide Microsoft Service" it should hide services needed by MS to run your OS. Then safety uncheck all the services you don't want to have in your system.. E check lang ang imong antivirus and other services like ang input devices nga touch panel... just read and you'll be able to understand...
4. under the "Startup Tabs" Uncheck everything except sa imong antivirus!!!

this way, your laptop will run using all your cpu cores all the time and will open only the needed programs and services para mo function sya plus the antivirus... goodluck!

Akong friend iyang Sempron gipa run namo murag multi core and can match boot time speeds with those high end units... can transfer files of 1gb within 30 seconds... sa config ra jud na bro... you can delete all prefetch files in the prefetch folders kay murag saturated na kaau na since 2nd hand na nga laptop and also try to reset its paging file...
