If carried out successfully, naa man ni good effect. At least ang mga bata ma ready na sa work after graduate, and the technically or vocationally inclined students have the chance to pursue what they want without the unnecessary pressure to fit in the 'academically-competitive' institutions. Let us just hope that the issue on teachers and classrooms are properly addressed in four years time.

It is not the number of years kapili mag-skwela ang bata. It is what they are teaching and what the students are learning.

Imagine, sa akong time, ambot lang sa inyo, balik2x ra jud ang gipangtudlo pag elementary. Let's take math for example:

    Grade 1: 1 + 1.
Grade 2: 100 + 100 (same ra sa Grade 1 ang coverage sa among Math ato).
Grade 3: 1560 + 2134 (same ra sa Grade 2 pero gipadak-an lang ang numero)
Grade 4: 341 * 450 (ang multiplication kay nidako nasad ang number pero pareha ra ghapon)
    Grade 5: 12399353 + 54232345 * 2343523 (at least ni improve gamay kay ni-taas2x man ang numero)
Grade 6: Nanay MDAS. (karon pa ni niguwa nga importante man ni.)

    Anhi ta sa English.

Grade 1 to Grade 2: read and write.
    Grade 3: noun, verb etc
Grade 4: noun, verb etc pero taas2x na gamay ang sentence
Grade 5: nanay mga words nga lawn2x gamay.
Grade 6: murag review pag grade 5.

    Anhi ta sa science:

Grade 1: very basic like nose, ears,
    Grade 2: nanay planets
Grade 3: nanay name ang planets and few moons
Grade 4: Nag-patay mig baki para makahibaw asa ang arteries.
Grade 5: Physiological systems like nervous systems, endocrine systems.
Grade 6: Pareha pag-grade 5 pero ni colored among libro.

Ang highschool kay ok ra noon kay naa may flow sa topics.

1st yr: general science, general math, general english
    2nd yr: biology, algebra, nouns
    3rd yr: chemistry, geometry, verbs
4th yr: physics, advance algebra, adjectives, etc

At least ok ra ang highschool pero awahi gihapon ta. Compare it sa japan sa ilang junior high school (1st yr to 3rd year equivalent sa ato). Within 3 years naa na silay:

Technology: electronics, robots, programming, automation, etc.
Fine Arts: drafting, interior design, etc.

Kana lang gani daan wala ta ana sa highschool.

Bisan pag himoon nag 20 yrs atong educational system, kung fundamentals gihapon ang itudlo sa mga students kay kita ghapon pinka-awahi.

k-12 is not applicable for the Philippines, we still lacked the basics of education like classrooms and teachers to implement such a massive program.

very well presented and agree sab ko ani... curriculum upgrading and intensive training/upgrading of teacher's skills... compulsory retirement of old teachers nga karaan na ang methods of teaching gi panggamit...

    whether ready ta or dili.
    whether gusto ta or dili.
the bottomline is WALA TAY CHOICE

if the Philippines will not impliment K-12 before the deadline, all our graduates will NOT be considered as graduates by most countries that our OFWs are working in. Kay naay mga international agreements gi-set ani.
Ganahan mo graduate ug college inyo anak pero dinhi ra sa Pinas maka work?

As for those complaining about increased financial burden, mas nindut noon ang K-12. Ideally, pag graduate at the age 18, pwede na mahire ug companies kay mura na sila ug graduates of an associate course. If the students decide to forego college, then they pursue the associate related path, but if kaafford ug college, then they will choose the preparatory for college path.
And kato nag associate, they can work and pay for their studies in college if they want to.

the intention of the program is great. if masunod jud, mas ok pa sa current system.
graduates of the program can work or continue to study if they want to.

However dako jud nga issue ang implimentation, gubot pas lukot, and let's just hope they will sort it out.
mga big private schools almost ready naman para sa K-12. Goodluck nalang jud sa public schools.
tan-awon nato unsay leadership skills ni Pnoy ug sa next president.

well expect the gap between private school and public school education be much wider most private school had computer classes than public schools.
