Anyway, not sure when I can finish off the 24 left on my cam. I'll probably shoot some in the airport tomorrow. Mao lang ni diay downside pud sa film, para makatipid, tigumun pa develop, he he. Excited nako share balik. Hopefully within the week. Mu-adto man pud ko Hidalgo Thursday so I'll probably take photos of that street and the church. Puslan man

Sige, Edwin, hopefully you know other film photogs. Ganahan pud ko shoot inside carbon market not just outside. Basin pwede ra post invit to a film cam only photowalk (or film cam + mirrorless).

Gkan na mi Hidalgo Quiapo to look for a Nikon FE but found none. So my wife and I walked the Quezon Blvd. route to look for cycling jerseys and she pointed me to a store selling old cameras. I bought a Canonet QL17. It's not the GIII but the difference between the two is neglible. This rangefinder is fast with an aperture of 1.7 and supports ASA 800 film (If I can find the darn thing, pati Hidalgo wala). Sadly, I may have trouble in a very sunny day as its shutter speed maxes out at 1/500 vs my Canonet 28's 1/640 (wala ko kakuha Basilica of the Black Nazarene kay in the red zone. see next paragragph). I'll post photos of my new RF unya. It's even engraved with the name of th previous owner. Ako pa ni ipa check ni Allen. It seems ok but the ASA wheel is hard and needs some cleaning. It looks used but not abused just like my 28.

Wala pa intawon nahurot ako 36 exposure. Mga 7 na lang. I forgot to set the ASA to 100 or even 25 so I can fool the light meter even if I'm using an ASA 400 film. Pero mangutana ko mga bro, unsa labas ani? Setting sa camera is lower than ASA of loaded film.

Yipee, a fast RF at last!

    Property of Roque Dealca ( 1968 )

This camera was owned by someone two years before I was born. Mr. Dealca, whoever you are, I will put this camera to good use and if ever we cross paths one way or the other, we have something in common to talk about, eh?

@kaotep: Yes, I'm just waiting to get back so I can give you the money. I assume we need to pay upfront If my low light shots using the ASA 400 films and Canonet 28 (1/30 at f/2. turned out to be disasters, then I must do another one using the QL17 and ASA 800/1600 films. No retreat, no surrender!

I'm still waiting for an answer to my query though, "What happens when I set a lower ASA, e.g., 100, when I'm using an ASA 400 film?" I'll eventually find out when I get the photos but it wouldn't hurt to know if others already experienced it.
