Hi! I'm a life insurance agent and I would just like to share to you some personal insights on health insurance...
Company sponsored health insurance are great because you get the needed protection at a minimal cost... Just pray that your company gets a good health insurance provider... So far, I have had relatively good experiences with our health insurance provider (PhilAm Care) as a dependent of my husband. My maternity was covered by them. Only paid around P5000 for a normal delivery compared to P20K-P30K+ if you don't have a health insurance.
Also have a family friend who had similar benefits under ICare of Insular Life. Her maternity was also covered by them. And she also has this as a company benefit.
Sorry for Kainos, but I have another friend who have had bad experiences with you guys also... It was also a company benefit. Maybe there's something wrong with the system
Now, if you get a personal coverage for health insurance, I would suggest that you get yourself a long-term health insurance. Coz if you get a short-term health insurance, the one wherein you have to renew on a yearly basis, it would come out as expensive... What will happen to the premium that you paid if nothing happens to you on that particular year

You can say goodbye to your money. But if you get a long-term health insurance coverage, then you get to have that assurance even though you stopped paying your premiums already, you still have the protection and your illnesses are covered, that is if you got your long-term health insurance coverage at an age wherein you were still healthy and young.
I've seen lots of long-term health insurance products in the market nowadays, you just have to shop around and check-out if you can afford to pay the premium, and make sure that the company providing the product can still be there when you need them, coz that's important. Don't decide immediately to get the plan that is most affordable to you, choose the plan that is well backed-up by the company... Company background is very important.
Hope this helps.
