Simo was a one of the best snipers ever, but a lot of people argue whether he was a sniper or a really insanely good rifleman/marksman. Still 705 confirmed is beyond wicked. Too bad the Finns lost the war in the end.

I'd say in terms of most effective snipers in quality and quantity, the Soviet snipers who effectively stopped or caused a war of attrition with the Wehrmacht in the Eastern Front. Ngilngig kaayo sa Tannenberg, Stalingrad, Leningrad. Vassili was just one among the finest. He's the most celebrated soviet sniper tungod sa pagka-pitched sa Battle of Stalingrad.
