plan to buy a new pc for this xmas... can't wait na mu drop ang core 2 duo

If you really need this right now, better choose the 820.

Don,t bother to buy 541 coz I think its already obselete. I think these 541 are the last stocksthat they desperately want to dispose coz it is not practical to buy nowadays. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what I think of this processor.

805 still exist coz of its overclockability but since I think you don't overclock, this is not the processor for you. Becacuse in stock frequency non of 805 and definitely not 541 (except for a single core apps) could beat 820.

820 would be your best proc, because of higher FSB and Higher Core Frequency. This is much better than the two, specially in stock frequency. But if you can find 920 which I think has the same price with 820, would be best.

(the higher the FSB, core clock and L2 cache the better):

im using a 540 intel processor.....bati lang ako because dili pa cya EM64T
the 541 processor is EM64T capable na

pero ang core2 duo is dual core and each core is Hyperthreading na.....so tabla na ug 4 core na ang imung processor and EM64T pa gyud

depende nimu unsa imu gusto......... if your rich enough

what Envy 64HT said. core 2s are made that way (threading loyalists). yes, FSB matters.
stay away from later procs (600-) esp if its Prescott. you'll be spending more on thermal solutions mind you.
