Mitsubishi Montero v.s Toyota Fortuner

Hi all,

To those who owned the new Toyota Fortuner 2012 model. Hows the ride? Is it still bumpy? according to the sales agent at toyota, the bumpy ride issue was fixed with the new model, as much as i want it to confirm myself but wala lagi silay fortuner nga pang test drive kay hurot2x stock nila permi, puros naay mga tag iya..Grabe oder basis nagud tungod sa kadaghan ni order.We ordered 1 already and thank God gamay ra ang gapila sa amng nagustuhan na color..To those who ordered freedom white..Gudluck coz abtan mo ug 3 months hinuwat ana tungod sa kadaghan sa ni order ana nga color.To those who owned the big beast already, pls tell us ur feedback abt the bumpy ride issue or anything good or bad experience with it. Thnx

ahem, if i may. wa pa diay ni nahuman ang rivalry between the 2. nag facelift(cosmetic) lift/surgery nlng ang fort wa ghapon nahuman.

anyways if you dont mind kinsa na agent? kay pangutan-un namu ug "why" and "how" na improve ang ride sa new fortuner? basin ang e tubag kay, "uhm... mao man ingun sa planta, im 80% sure basin wa pa sad na ka drive sa new fort kay sa kadaghan units na di man dugay sa showroom. in short, monty still owns the comfort rating.

to clarify lang pod. kinda bumpy ang ride sa fort and manageable raman... dili pod worst.
but if imu e compare sa new monty, then far far batter ang monty, hope you got my point boss.

Ahe-he... sigurado ka bossing? 4 years na akong santa fe but no regrets. Nag kadaghan ang SF sa atong roads. even the the new models from KIa. Di man siguro sama kadaghan sa Fortuner but we SF owners have the feeling of exclusivity driving cars in our streets. BTW, daghan na kog giihaw nga Fortuner diha sa Sangat, San Fernando. kanang subida diha gikan sa dry dock sus paborito nako na diha mopakurat ug Fort. Ingna nya ko ug makakuha kag Fort kay ato testingan sa SRP.

ahem ahem pod ko ani, i beg to disagree. korean cars are becoming an eye-sore na to the japs, kay ang uban if not at par, apsan na sila...

OT: sa kia lang jud kay IMO overpriced sila kaayo hehe.

toyota's using d4d non-vgt engine
mitsubishi's using 4d56 2.5 vgt engine
hyundai's using the 3rd gen vgt na if im not mistaken? vgt, then r-vgt, then r-evgt (try stepping on the pedal, bilin imu kalag hehe) agree?


but sa side pod sa monty, im not sure ani but monty and strada share the same platform and mitsu strada:

Just read the MONTERO SUDDEN ACCELERATION.. whew! grabeh! I thought naa ra sa Istorya ang na happen, then I tried to GOOGLE it... Saw several cases mga more or less 8-15 instances... wow!!!

if you have provided link sa tsikt i assume you have also read the calculation nila on the errors and chances this will happen right? if wala pls browse through it boss para ma claro ang sudden acceleration and di misleading.

Mas nice ang montero because of its form factor plus advantage pud sa Horsepower compared sa fortuner. Montero has 177 hp while fortuner has 102 only. Layo ra kau ang ride sa montero ug sa fortuner. Naka test drive ko ug 2012 Model na fortuner wa may kausaban sa iyang Ride, bumpy ride lang ghapon. Then very heavy siya dad on. Bug at kau cya padaganon. Ang naka nice lng sa new fortuner model kay gi facelift na nila and medyo swabe ang Tail lights nya. But overall still Monterosport has my vote... Cheer up Mitsubishi.....

This is very true. Have both fortuner and montero but layo ra gyud kaayo ang ride sa fortuner. I test drove the newest one but honestly, there is no difference between the new one and old one. Its still the same.

di pod cguro boss oi, hehe "mas" sikat lang ang monty sa ph e compara sa uban countries. diba same raman geographical locations na asa gi release ang fort naa pod ang monty? or mas daghan ang places na release ang fort tungod sa
