Did you encountered intermittent audio cracking/distorting sound on your asus laptop when you play MP3 and video? Mine is K42f I have some issues....

Sa tinood bro ako na gi try tanan possibilities from headset/speakers or even wala gamiti ug headset mo occur gihapon cya.

The distorted audio occurs intermittent like kanang mo krrrrrrrrrrrr ang audio mp3 also video, murag ni hang ug kalit ba mao abi nako b4 nga basin sa antivirus nag scan pero di naa gihapon maski ako remove ang antivirus...then play napud normally. Everything is fine and working great except sa audio. Btw the audio built in is REALTEK HD. I tried updating the drivers or even use the old one but still the same. Give up nako.

I tried playing mp3 from optical drive, usb still the same naa gihapon.

Dismaya ko sa ASUS w/c I thought its worth for the money but its not but crap.

I'm eye-ing on the ASUS K43SV for it's price/performance ratio is good..

Mine is Asus A8sc, bought it last Nov 2007 online without OS, I made it dual-boot either to XP or windows 7, it still rocks except for the battery kay dili na ma-on if battery lang. Asa kaha ko makapalit ug battery, any recommendations?

^^ same ta bro i got ASUS A8SC i got it second hand ra ni xa but ok japun ang performance.. .recently i bought asus 1215b for my wife coz i believe nga mau ni xa nga brand..

Just bought last month,
ASUS X42J - 27k...
the only problem i encounter the smartlogon it takes time before it recognise your face.
but its an add-on security that i like.
