hmmmm inputs lang ko ha... dili nga pasabot uyon ko sa increase hehehe

pero para nako ang SF kay ngsalig na sila sa annual event nila for the entire expenses the whole year? like salaries for staff and consultants, misc expenses sa office nila.

and SF i think kay dili gyud ni sila part sa Cebu City government but supported by city government every Sinulog event (correct me if im wrong ha)

Kung ang city government ni donate pila ka millions for the sinulog event sguro enough na sya for the event expenses only like stage sa abellana, kanang mga parades and mga event related to sinulog.

So kung mka collect man sila for the photocontest ug million above sguro sa misc expenses, prizes (not sure sa mga sponsors ani) nya basin anha sad sila kuha ug gagmay nga sweldo sa photo-contest related.

ambot lang ha... im also thinking sad sa ilang side kay lisod gyud baya pangita ug salaries para sa osa ka Foundation.

adto nlang guro ta kung naay meeting para maka question tag tarong. ato nlang i list dinhi unsay mga dapat i point nato.

i know daghan wa ganahi sa increase and some restrictions, pero tana kay dili man kaha mo ganahan ayaw nalang mog apil, i hatag nalang sa amoa nga wala pa naka try ang oppurtunity ug experience sa ani nga event... afaik SF is not a govt entity so its their prerogative and rights to impose increase...

ayaw lang mog kalain sa ako comment im just voicing out my concern sa mga sige reklamo... mag lurk nalang kog balik kay im starting to feel that this thread is slowly turning into a thread from a politics sections...

^^Correct me if im wrong.. SF is a govt entity.. as i could remember... they gave me a govt receipt(kanang naay seal/logo sa cebu city)... naa sad to time nga dili OR ilang gi hatag.. mura ra kanang ma palit sa national bookstore... will these be properly audited or taxed?

Ako, ganahan kaayo ko mu apil sa sinulog... the colors, the festive vibe, the beat, its religious aspect and everything about it except for the OVER charging and poor implementation on guidelines and rules.

I'm not after to win, all i want on that week of festivities is to be a photographer that has paid on a well computed and worth it registration fee...

that's y im complaining... coz i really want to join the sinulog photo contest...

master mike i dont think atong 1,500,000 + canon's sponsorship lang ang nag pa sweldo nila.. and pila man kabuok taw sa SF? ig sulod nimo sa SF room lampas silang ug 10 ka taw?

do u know how much companies pay to be part of the parade? kabantay mo di ba nga naay Jollibee, Greenwich, IPI, Chowking, BANKS, BPOs and many other companies nga mu apil sa parade?

Dako-dako sad na clag gi bayaran sa SF... mind you...

do dapat di ing-ana ilang i charge sa ato coz we are not a company we are individuals...

They are also earning via ticket sales sa Sports Complex during the parade.

Mga istoryans, wla ko nangita ug away ha?! im just voicing out my point here... u may disagree on what im saying and i'l be glad if u will agree...

we should act on this coz as u can see there is a trend... increasing fees every year and decreasing support and quality of work also every year.

Lets hope CPA can urge SF their to lower the reg fee... coz 1k is to much...

IMHO mga bro sa photography kaning mga fees nga mahal para ni siguro sa future so that the Sinulog festival would last for a veryyyyy looongggg time, yeah i bet ang registration fee sa street dancing contest ni increase gyud pod tingale ang ilang fee, hasta ang mga sponsors increased pod tingale ila fees it is Marketing man gud advertising sa ilaha products, and panata na for others and some will pay a kings ramsome para lang maka tuman sa ilang panata, as for me I enjoy photgraphy so much when I'm behind the viewfinder nothing else matters..... For me, having photography as a hobby i should be willing to spend on something worthwhile for my hobby. Mao na i save funds for the coming activity. In fact i would support it if they increase the fee some more. Di nalang sa ko mag snacks for so many days para maka save some more for my hobby. Kung ang sinulog mo charge lang ug P500-800 pesos that everyone can afford mapuno ang parade with photo enthusiast kay bisan ang ordinaryong tourist (local or foreign) who will knownthat they have the prevledge to get in the parade route will register bisag wala silay intention moapil sa photo contest. For me sa kagubot it will not be worth my money bisag tag 100 ra ila fee. That will be unfair to those who are serious in taking their hobby into a diferent level nga gusto maka take sa ila shots sa parade with better coposition. Di nalang ta maglalis kung asa nila igasto atong kwarta kay sila ray nakahibaw sa ila mga gastohanan. I'm sure they would want to make profit sad gyud. I would not care for as long as i think worthwhile sa akong hobby ang gigastohan nako. SA HOBBY WALAY MAHAL...ANG ATONG CAMERA MAHAL PARA SA MGA NAGHOBBY UG STAMP COLLECTION PERO KUNG SILA MOPALIT UG RARE NGA STAMP USAY MAHAL PA SA TONG CAMERA ANG USA KA STAMP PERO PARA NILA BARATO RA and we hobbiest will find ways to get what we want NO MATTER WHAT HOBBY WE ARE IN... SAVE SAVE SAVE ...so kung serious mo sa inyong photography dapat di mo moreklamo sa fee sa SF kay the lesser makasulod sa parade the better for you to take those good shots. If you are not willing to spend then dont join, give the chance to the more serious ones in photography and FIND ANOTHER HOBBY THAT IS WITHIN YOUR BUDGET.

Pwede ra ang fee barato basta SF Should be strict in implementing the limit in the number of registrants for the phot o contest... I cant imagine more than 1,500 photo enthusiast on the parade route... Thats a total of at least 15 good-sized contingent participating in the parade. But the only way they can get their quota is limit the participants and increase the fees.
