Its a possibility that they exist (though there is still no solid proof, and if there is, powerful people are doing everything to hide them) but it will be kinda nil to really spot them. There are certain places though that UFO sighting is frequent and Cebu isn't one of them.

there are actually cases of reported sightings from luzon to mindanao...but since no agency in the country are knowledgeable enough with regards to this phenomena, they are usually disregarded and forgotten.

personally, i've already seen UFOs...the first time was when I was still around 8 yrs old. I was on vacation with my cousins in Laguna. It was around 8 or 9pm and it was dark since it was brownout that evening. together with my cousins and some neigborhood kids, nakatambay lang mi sa road infront of my cousins' house when all of a sudden, about 6 or 7 bluish-green bright objects crossed the sky in a speed not possible with any man-made aircraft...and it was silent. not a sound was heard when they crossed the sky. the objects came from the direction of Mt. Makiling.

2nd was in May of 1993 when a cylinder shaped ufo followed the boat that me and my classmates are in...it was 3am and the location is in the area between bohol and butuan. It was a bright pulsating object. An old guy who was there with us told me that, that same object have already been seen for countless times by local fishermen who frequent the area. he told me that they sometimes see the object emerge from the sea.

The 3rd was in march of 2004 in malagos mountain resort in davao city. this time it's a bright orange orb-shaped object enveloped in a sort of golden halo. it was 530pm and was beginning to get dark when I suddenly felt bored with the discussions in the seminar that I was attending. I went out into the garden for fresh air and when I looked up in the sky (out of habit), there it was crossing across the darkening sky in a bobbing fashion like a boat floating on water.

the 4th and most recent is last february 2006 in mandaue city. it wasnt me who actually saw it first. it's already 7pm and i just got home from the office when an officemate texted me about a strange red glowing orb-like object floating in the sky. he said his girlfriend has already seen the object an hour earlier before he arrived and she pointed the object to him. I went out of the house and there it was...just hovering silently below the dark rainclouds. It's bright red and the light it emits pulsate, almost similar to the glow you see while welding. from my location, i can say that it was hovering over the talamban area near north town village. it felt strange coz i felt goosebumps all over me when i first saw the object. I called my friend on his cellphone and we are looking at it together with his other friends whom he also informed over the phone. Sensing that the object will just sit there for a few more minutes, i told my friend that I'm going to rush inside my apartment to get my video camera. I told myself, at last, a video evidence of my 3rd sighting. I just bought the camera a few months back and i have used it only for about 3 projects. It's a 3CCD professional videocam...so I expect that I'm gonna get a pretty clear image of the object. But when I went back and trained the camera at the object, strange...it started moving away towards the general area of Ayala and probably the downtown area. I frantically searched for the object to appear on my LCD viewfinder....but all I see is a dark screen...I zoomed out for reference of its location and I saw in the LCD the lampost and the building in front of my apartment...but in the sky where the object is supposed to be located...it's not registering for some reasons. but i can clearly see with my eyes the object in the sky moving away, and it's already being blocked from sight by the low lying clouds. I just stood there feeling very frustrated that i wasnt able to get a video of the UFO. It was already there right in front of me, I have a camera in my hand...and yet, the camera can't see it. damn!

I'm not sure if that red thing did something to my camera. I have to bring it to the service center after that encounter since i noticed something strange with the images it sees and records...i observed that it cannot see and register anything that is red. True enough, the technician told me that the CCD chip responsible for registering the red spectrum has been damaged and has to be replaced.

Good thing the unit is still under warranty.

i agree...who would not want to get a picture or video of your own encounter? but the thing is, just like claims of encounters with ghosts and other paranormal thingy, you normally dont have a camera with you when these things come zooming across the skies. and when you almost have the chance of capturing them on tape...something weird happens with your camera (just like what happened to me). There are evenings that I wait for one of these things to showup across the skies with my camera ready...but unfortunately, nothing crossed the sky except the jetliners and helicopters going to and from mactan airport. Considering that my sightings happened years apart (late 70s, 1993, 2004 and 2006), the next one could be anytime in the next 5 or 10 years? or maybe I will never see one again. the thing is, you just dont know when they'll drop by and say "hi! we're up here!"

another thing is, when you see one, you just cant peel your eyes off it for "fear" that when you do, it'll be gone when you look up again. you'll feel mesmerized by the light...you just want to savor the experience of having seen one flashing its beautiful lights. People who haven't seen one will surely doubt what i'm saying...you will only know the feeling when you're suddenly confronted by something that falls outside the conventional.

i heard abs-cbn cebu was able to capture on tape the UFOs seen flying over minglanilla town last august? i also heard that they showd the video in their local newscast. Murag talk of the town to after a mysterious blast was heard over several towns in north cebu a few weeks earlier prior to the minglanilla sightings. allegedly, a UFO crashed (or entered?!) in the waters in the North Cebu area when the blast was heard.

Has anyone here watched the said newscast where abs-cbn cebu showed the flying lights over minglanilla?
