Soooooo..... since their customers have all left town (big supply, less demand), anyone know of any lowered hotel rates cuz of the postponement?... and what about all that food? The Shangri-La, Marco Polo, and Marriot eat-all-you-can buffets should be "beefed" up (pun intended) this week then, huh? They can't freeze everything, right?

hala... kuyawa sad sa dream ng amigo nimo bro... i hope and pray nothing of the sort happens kay we can forget about ever becoming a great tourist destination after that... anyhow, from what i've heard, there's a "shoot-down" policy for any rogue planes during this period... this is implemented by the Philippines, in partnership with the US... (thats what i heard... dont ask me details, i dunno... :mrgreen: )
and aside from the boats securing the sea areas behind Shang and Malacanang sa Sugbu, there are Navy Seals continuously diving in those areas to make sure that there are no threats, even under the water...

You have a good illustration. Im just elaborating on law of supply and demand in a very academic way. I have no idea about business practices like pro active and reactive.

But your example that business will close becuase of off peak rates is not quite correct. On the contrary, customers MAY patronize the hotel because of its cheaper rates but superb services.

My 2 cents worth...

OT : What about the food ? TThey are still gonna serve it hot and fresh to regular guest and diners . The BUFFET is not for the DELEGATES anyways because the DELEGATES has their own personal chefs . As usual , walay freezing mahitabo , i serve gihapon na like a regular day .
