TS, ayaw lang dayon ka panic. the deserts of jubail are not that very dangerous compared to the deserts of algeria towards sahara. besides, we are at the best temperatures now to be in the desert. the time for dangerous sand storms is over. by now, it should be about a very nice 14 degrees Centigrade in the evenings out there in the Jubail desert..all the way up to the Khafji areas.

Please allow a prayer to comfort you and vanish if not minimize the panic.

Desert Safaris are organized activities, at least one team member knows the ways of the desert. Daghan man to sila, if something untowards happened, for sure someone else will know and a search party launched already.

I hope and pray your bf is ok.

THE BASTARD'S ALIVE!!! Thank you Lord!

He was able to make it back yesterday. the reason why he came home so late was:
    (1) The guys and himself decided to stay and experience the desert for a few more days. They planned to come back last week Friday... but
    (2) A British work mate punched in the wrong number in the GPS and went off track
    (3) Na saag jud sila...
    (4) Went as far as the Border of Kuwait
    (5) Was detained for 2 days by the guards at the border for questioning

My calls as well as those who have been nice enough to respond to this thread by helping me make calls -- THANK YOU! Apparently, we have caused a stir in the office. When my BF arrived back at the facility, news went around and reached HR and Admin that he and the group have been missing. Now, they're all in trouble for leaving for a desert safari without permission or notifying anyone, and using 5 company vehicles for the travel.

BWAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA revenge is sweet! He made me panic for 10 days, so a bit of hassle for him in the office is good enough as revenge.

I'd like to say thank you to all of you who helped me... it was comforting to read your replies sa thread, advises and cheers to stay calm. THANK YOU!!! I gave him the biggest scolding ive ever given in my life when he got back. Success! I also took down more numbers as well as his office number INCASE this happens again.

^^^I knew it....he's just like the typical adventurous guy (which you girls hate about) and not minding or forgot to at least inform you or someone concerned.

I have been to similar incidents of not updating anyone of my whereabouts....though not as remote like in the dessert

    TS
sorry ha I have to say this that you're just being too paranoid, nervous, and over reacting which is veeery normal (but sometimes annoying hahaha) that I don't blame you knowing you really care for your guy

Actually I envy him having that kind of adventure
But now he has a far more bigger and more challenging
adventure to face and deal with that I or any other guy wouldn't even dare go----FACE THE WRATH OF AN ANGRY & WORRIED GIRLFRIEND!!!!
good luck nalang niya and that I should worry about him hahahaha

    seriously
I'm really glad he's ok (which I really thought he is in the first place)
and for your relief and peace (but on a war mode on your meeting with him hhahaha)

He being adventerous, i appreciate and let him be with it. i dont hate it, in fact. But i, atleast, dont want to be wondering what my BF has gotten himself into when in a deserted desert. If he wanted to go cliff diving, be my guest, but let me know so i wouldnt panic and go nuts wondering if he died from a snake bite or hit his head on a rock.

ahaha.. call me paranoid. But what's a gf to do when miles away from a bf who's wondering around the desert for fun. It's terrifying!

true, my paranoia may be annoying, but all he did when i was scodling him was laugh. men....

Anyway, thank you for all your advises. he's safe now and after having been scolded by his gf, is now being scolded by his company for leaving without permission and missing several days of work without informing anyone. HAR HAR HAR..

    Thanks again people
