The reason for Pacquiao's lackluster performance was his refusal to follow Ariza's strength and conditioning regimen, Nathanielsz said.

"Ariza told me, the problem is, he didn't follow my strength and conditioning routine," he said.

Ariza worked with Pacquiao starting his fight with David Diaz, which ended in a knockout. The trainer told Nathanielsz that for Pacquiao's bouts against Oscar de la Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto, Pacquiao followed his regimen.

All three fights ended in knockout victories for Pacquiao.

"Pagkatapos yung (Antonio) Margarito, (Shane) Mosley, and the third Marquez fight, he went on his own," Nathanielsz said.

they gave comments but walay ni oppose kay useless man if mo oppose coz the result can't be changed. not all viewers who watched the fight favored a boxer and some of them bet their money by rounds or decision.

You don't win solely on scoring while counter-punching, you have to wear down your opponent with counter-punching to a point where you become the aggressor. Marquez did not do this. He was effective with his counter punching but he was too cautious about getting caught in that range after every return--he backs away, and Pacquiao moves forward, that definitely catches any judges' attention. Look at Mayweather, that's what makes him one of the best technical fighter today. There was no robbery.

If that's the case then i feel sorry for all of those who are a victim of hype. We already know Pacman can't nail Marquez for good any day. Aggressor? we'll i don't agree with you. Manny even hesitated during early rounds coz he'd been caught with a right straight and left uppercut everytime he moves forward.. and tried to catch up in the later rounds because he personally knew as a fighter on the ring that's he's way behind the scorecard. Freddie knew that too. i dont want to comment on who really was the winner i need to see the replay w/o any commentaries. but as of what i saw last Sunday i think Marquez edges Manny slightly.

IMO, this fight already has a winner even before it started in the name of pacquiao but JMM did spoil what could be the outcome of the fight.

A win for Manny opens a possible fight with Mayweather which most of the boxing fans are clamoring about. That could set a new record on the PPV sales and betting. Add to the fact that Manny has his fights numbered already and already planning of retiring by next year so if he losses this fight, the mega fight against PBF will no longer be a possibility thus making it a big NO no for Bob Arum. Bob Arum wants to milk Manny while he has still time left.

if JMM wins there is no monetary benifit of that on the promoters side coz JMM IMO is not a natural welter weight so there is no way for him to stay on that division for a period of time. plus he is aging, business wise it not profitable for a person to gamble on JMM and he is not marketable unlike Manny. If he wins for sure PBF will not have a second fight with him coz he just got beat by PBF fair and square.

in short its all about the Money.

its just my speculation though i still need to watch the replay

^^murag dli sad ko mtuo ana bro, i dont think it was intentional it is just normal to step forward when punching. hurot na gyud ako bilib aning Marquez if he did that intentionally. Manny is one of the best if not the best boxer in footwork and speed therefore it is not easy for Marquez to step on Manny's foot while trying to hit his head.
