I think that Garnett is the more talented individual player, but Dirk is a better team player.
As Michael Jordan said.... "Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships."

KG ko. nahan man gud ko mga player na naa penetration and funk..
boring man tan-aw ug perimeter shooters like dirk.. walay highlight dunks and alley-oops.. reminds me of jeff hornacek and john stockton..

But how many of those highlights of KG are from beyond the first round of the playoffs. The T'Wolves have been knocked out of the playoffs in the first round in 7 out of 8 playoff appearances, and haven't made the playoffs the last 2 years (and are not off to a great start this year either). You can say that he never had the teammates but great players make those around them better, right Scottie Pippen? The goal of most NBA teams is to win championships, if you crave highlights only, then you might as well just watch "And 1" street ballers. People still fill the stands for winning teams, no matter the style, ala those Utah teams with those "boring" players.

kevin garnett is an american and dirk nowitzki is german. thats why they have different basketball styles. KG is more of a highlight reel, dirk is more on fundamentals. either way, they're both effective.

but nowitzki's style is more efficient for team play rather then KG's. thats why i go for nowitzki

.. absolutely. Kevin doesnt have any support. He alone carries the team.

.. Dirk on the other hand is fortunate enough to have good team mates.

Dirk is better in this, Kevin is better in that... they are both great players. But the team they play for, that's the the luck of the draw... sometimes.
When does Garnett's current contract end? Is he better off getting out of Minnesota, where he probably won't ever get a ring (at least under the current management)? He can opt out of his contract in '08. I know he was being loyal when he signed his extension, but he was also VERY well payed. Should he move? Does Minnesota deserve his loyalty any more? Many players have gone from team to team in the latter years of their career searching for a title.Is KG's true goal an NBA Championship, or is he content being the "only" man in frozen Minnesota.... time will tell.
How long do you think Dirk can last as a top player in the NBA?
