Round 1? feeling out ra man gane to. How could Marquez clearly win that round? The only rounds JMM clearly won were 2, 6, 7 & 8. Rounds 9, 10 & 11 belonged to Pacquiao as he rocked Marquez several times in these rounds. All the other rounds could have gone either way, pero si Pacquiao man ang champ so sa iyaha gihatag, Kung nagpakita unta ug aggression si Marquez, basin sa iya pa, pero what did he do really? After watching the fight again, your comments make sense to me. Not a nice win coz Manny was not dominant like he usually is over his opponents, but it does not mean he lost the fight.
Kung dili to championship fight, basin ma draw ra to, or split decision to either fighter. But since it was a championship fight, the decision went to Many-being the aggressor and the champion.

Well, knock out Pacman. Or attack him and or hurt him really bad to win convincingly.

Pacman is the champion. In the whole history of boxing, the challenger is supposed to be the aggressor, to try to get the belt. If the challenger KO's the champ by counterpunching, that's fine, just like JMM beating Juan Diaz. But most of the time, the challenger who just waits and doesn't really hurt the champ will lose.

So even if JMM showed he hit Pacman more, they were not damaging. It's like in warfare, one side can hit a castle a lot, but if they are unable to enter it, they are still the losers.

So that's the way it is. JMM will never win, he must change his style.

Missing in this fight is Pacman's fire. Counterpunchers are his waterloo, although they won't beat him if he stays as he is.

Manny Steward is right, he knows his boxing. "You don't win championships, you take it." Maybe one can win on punches that don't hurt in the amateur league, but not in the pros.

Marquez--You have to understand that being a counter-puncher you have to be effective enough to throw and land more punches than you're opponent at every opportunity, to woo the judges. Being conservative with those punches won't win you fights, especially if you're the challenger--you have to be the aggressor. Anyway, hey, a win is a win, no matter how you get it. It wasn't as spectacular as the past fights, but another successful title defense for Manny. JMM's ALWAYS going to whine, no 4th or 5th or etc. fight is going to change that. No class for JMM tonight.

I dont think JMM damaged Pacman, besides the headbutt. He had the powershots but Pacquiao maintained volume, and put damage on JMM throughout the fight. It's gonna be really harder for Pacquiao to knock anybody down this point of his career because his opponents will take great caution facing him and will try their best not to underestimate his speed and power and damn well respect it.
