for me, even though i am a true-blooded Filipino and a sports enthusiast but its marquez who won the fight. its gambling out there

we are all for pacman.. though marquez didnt want to fight.. marquez clearly won it.. luto napud..

I'm happy for Pacquiao and for all of us Pacquiao fans but very disappointed with the results because we expected a knockout. Pity for Marquez...coz although I was looking for Manny to knock Marquez out within 3 rounds, I honestly thought this was the first fight where Manny was clearly outclassed. I had Marquez winning 8 of 12 rounds. Most of the people watching it with me in the restaurant shared the same view. This was Marquez's night, but unfortunately the judge saw it differently. I guess those are the breaks of the game...or perhaps Nevada just wouldn't allow a Marquez victory because it will derail the biggest moneymaking fight in history.

So congrats to Manny. To Marquez, regardless of the result, I think he was the one who shut up Freddie Roach's mouth, as well as all those who underestimated him. At 38, he's still amazing...even beating Pacquiao convincingly (at least in my book). But I still place Manny above him, simply because Manny has the style that can clean up a division.

marquez will now play the blame game on the judges.... di nalang xa moreklamo oi, dako pud iyang kwarta atong awaya....hahah

ont: it may not be impressive, but pacquiao technically won that fight....

So many have been protesting that MP should have lost. Pacquiao punches better, has better footwork and has made so many connections. Marquez is a good counter-puncher. It was a close fight, I admit. I think the reason why there is so much animosity with the decision is because we are so used to seeing landslide victories from MP. In the judges' eyes, in the commentator's eyes and in my eyes, Pacquiao won!

boxing is not like basketball-you win by points no matter how you shoot the ball. the underdog must prove himself he deserve the belt by aggressiveness and not just by stepping back and wait to counter-punching.
