Benfica vs Manu tonight, or dawn rather.

Good for Barca. Today is Man Utd's turn to join the knockout stage.

Man Utd returns the favor to Benfica tonight by beating them 3-1. Benfica beat Utd at Lisbon this time last year to knock Utd out of the Champion League last season. This time Utd got the revenge. Very well struck goal by Nelson at 27' made me a little antsy. But after 3 wonderful headers by Vidic, Giggs and Saha, Utd are off to the knockout stage!

BTW, this year English teams have done very well. In fact it is the first time in history that all 4 English teams have come out as group winners. Now if Man Utd meet Lille is the next round that would be great. If it'll be Barca or Madrid, bring it on! We'll see what happens in the draw on Dec. 15.

Man Utd got Lille! Now this is a good start.

Of all the English clubs, only Liverpool got the worst draw with Barca. Should be entertaining to watch since Barca is on a roll but on the other hand, they haven't even scored against Liverpool in 3 European matches since 1976.
