... yes, i totally agree with you, this parade's intention is not for social awareness. It's for flanking their " fashion ". C'mon, if they want society to respect them, then they should at least respect themselves first.

.. for me there are two types of Gays:

    a. respetado na bayot.. those decent gays who still acts like a man, dresses like a man.

    b. way batasan na bayot.. those gays who tries to look like a lady, with fake boobs and is KSP when in a crowd.

.. but as tolstoi puts it, at last mag ulan na gyud. hehehe. joke lang.

you can fight for rights, but you cant fight for homophobia.. naa jud na, only time can tell
kung gusto mo sabton, sabta sa ang uban tao

    From: http://pridemanila.wordpress.com/adb/

The Anti-Discrimination Bill is authored by AKBAYAN Reps. Etta Rosales, Mayong Aguja, and Risa Hontiveros in the House of Representatives, and by Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla in the Senate.

Essentially, the bill seeks to penalize discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in many areas, particularly in education, healthcare, workplace, public service, and law enforcement, among others.

There are still many things that should be done to ensure the bill’s approval. For one, we must continuously pressure the members of Congress - especially the leadership of the House of Representatives and the Senate - to approve the bill before the congressional recess this December. We should also keep on educating the public about the bill and why it is important to the community, and respond with compassion and pride to erroneous and misleading allegations that it is about same-*** marriage and that it would institute special rights for homosexuals.

    __________________________________________________ ____________

highlighted portions tell me it is NOT about same-*** marriage at all. they're just asking lawmakers to make discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation punishable by law. and to those of you who are not aware of any discrimination towards gays and lesbians, you're right--YOU ARE NOT AWARE. parades and marches like the upcoming one will give you a dash of awareness.

on a lighter note...hehe na amuse lang ko nga daghan kaayu homophobics diri
