your words may not have been used commonly but they sure arent new to me
TOEFL? Isnt that something as hyped and as easy as Burlitz exam?
i guess people from callcenters here in cebu wont find that a problem

Its a given. Even the american TP trainers did notice the difference in the Fluency

pardon those who insult tagalogs when it comes to english but in general, it is true
visayan speaking people are better english speakers than tagaolog speaking people


I know a trainer from Teletech who's name is Marie, who studied in a university somewhere in Idaho
who's Thesis was about Filipino:American Speech Analogy
Tagolog=Southern Accent Because of distinct Nasal / strong accent
Cebuano=New Yorkers/Eastern because of fluency and speech
Illonggo=Neutral because intonations hardly changes even when angry
Her thesis made her graduate because it is credible

My mother tongue is Tagalog since i grew up with the filipino community
English was my form of communication outside that community, so it isnt an issue either
Came here in the Philippines to study. My options were weighed, Manila or Mindanao
After further deliberation (exaggerated word), parents decided for Mindanao
and i could say studying in Mindanao made me preserve my english fluency up until. not to mention the added english vocabs

I dont know any other school that offers a FULL school year of SHAKESPEARE / Old English Literature for 4th Yr High School Students, but mine.

my weakness is english that's why i got offended. lol

i always admit that i suck in english and i can't do formal speech in front or in public places. I'm trying hard to become better and i know, im getting there.

i just don't allow people to degrade me coz i know i have other better things other people don't have. and i dont degrade and humiliate anyone coz i know they also have better things I don't have.

well, just a heads up.
The english language itself is also evolving
there is no such thing as american accent either
since americans are now diverse after being THE LAND OF THE FREE

and dont worry about grammar. americans doesnt really dig into that
they are more inclined into Conversational English
as per Bo, If it sounds right IT MUST BE CORRECT

not unless of course if you are into formal english
then grammar may be an issue

practice makes perfect indeed
and i guess it would be much easier here since there are a lot to practice with

@moneymagnetmom;you're right this is not venue to whine pero after a month of training i am now getting demotivated. it's true that they have politics there. i can bear the lowest pay ever, ang kaway klaro sa management and hr na mga wala imo requirements but ang di nako ma carry kay ang papasaron nila ang applicant as supervisor kay perfect ang exam sa pst training. i believe na edge na cya for you to apply a higher position but does not necessarily follow you can handle a team.ing ana ba ka desperate mokuha og tl unya ang pay kay 20k ra pud?nag agent ko sa may it park na call center 22k man aq basic.i will just finish pst and go sago nako.i believe mao ng naay istorya para naay istoryahan,free country man kaha ta?
