“What we call chaos is just patterns we haven't recognized. What we call random is just patterns we cant decipher. What we can't understand we call nonsense. What we can't read we call gibberish.” - Chuck Palahniuk
Michio Kaku is a reknowned scientist and theoretical physicist.
He, like Carl Sagan and Neil deGrasse Tyson, have the knack for simplifying (I'm tempted to say "dumb down" hehehe) complicated scientific events and processes for the common man to understand and appreciate.

I for one agree with his views and theories.
@Gareb, this is a classic example of the problem with today's wealth and easy access to information via the web--young people nowadays don't know how, or are incapable of discerning which are RELIABLE sources of information, or express an inability to distinguish science FACT from pseudoscience, mao nga they also have a difficult time deciding where to post something, fearing it might NOT be about science (when in fact it is about science), or the opposite--being too confident that the idea they're trying to spread is scientific when it turns out it's pseudoscience.

didnt Michio Kaku say that we are a type zero civilization and on the verge of transitioning to type 1?
makes me remember about the movie "when the earth stood still."
Michio Kaku. I love this guy. I never get tired of listening to him.
quotes this y-tube comment:
"The possibility of contacting an intelligent civilization in outer space is not a problem. The problem is that we may contact a civilization as stupid as our own. Now that is scary."
*I suddenly remembered this satyr cartoon called "Invader Zim" where a clueless, space-travelling sentient invaders try to study and cope with the civilization they want to conquer , trying to blend with the stupid niche called "human society".
