He's not a hero, he only shows us to wake up from ignorance which "most" of us didn't even knew existed within us. What we can do is to spread and educated our brethren about how far we have come...

Back then, this is what I was taught in my Rizal class... we are ignorant. That is what Rizal was trying to tell and that we need to be mature and educated to grow to be a more powerful nation. Unfortunately, most of us took it the wrong way... and hence, it is how Rizal predicted... our social cancers are still here.
