A friend of mine who provide me "inside sources news" of the team but today was his last day of work in the Raptors organization . He got laid-off . There were other people as well . Some were transferred to the Maple Leafs and Marlies organization , unfortunately he wasn't one of them .

Obviously 29 NBA teams are laying-off employees too because of the lockout . It's not also the fans who are suffering , also the employees .

Now players are planning for desertification , it will take for like 3 years to have the league back after court hearings , litigation , petitions , and etc .

Millionaire players crying because they're losing money while playing a game they love. Ironic, isn't it?

What the NBA is really doing is alienating their fans. It's frustrating not to see a live NBA game on TV on November. We all should be discussing the latest rookies to make a splash or who got the losing end of a Blake Griffin dunk by now.

So the owners are offering 51-49 in favor of the owners which include $2.5 M for 'mini' midlevel exceptions good for two years and no sign-and-trade for luxury tax-paying teams . NBPA Attorney , Jeffrey Kessler rejected the deal as Stern said in this press conference right now but the offer will remain until Wednesday . If no deal reached by Wednesday , owners will offer 47% of BRI and a flex cap .

IMO , I think the players should take this offer and play ball ASAP . It's a good deal nonetheless .

I thought this is a bold move by David Stern. Putting forth pressure on the union by making a take-it-or-leave it deal. If players don't go for it, they would look bad.
