yes and aside from that, the reason why the subject is being defied was because of the business entities which may be affected,
let say for example those businesses under the flyover will experience a large loss of their income since the people passing by will dramatically decrease.

^^business people are indeed at the forefront of those against the flyovers. they are not actually against it per se but rather the swiftness of its implementation even with its flawed justifications and without regard for the overall impact on the overall traffic situation. these businessmen (many of them very successful) know what they speak of. they want to see plans, not just for a particular intersection, but for the whole city and even province as a whole. politicians don't see it this way but rather just want to earn pogi points from the voters aside from the indubitable fact that they will earn from this. I mean really, would anybody doubt there will be kickbacks on this?
