^ I don't think they will go on your suggestion by sacrificing user convenience. There's more authentic links than spam links. Report post will do, its just 1 click away.

mas better jud nga mas palisuran nila ang pag pa register. like put a reCaptcha on registration.

dali na ma lutsan karon ang recaptcha. that is why its advisable nga naa mga security question during registration.

in my 2 forum sites, i added this:
    Stop Forum Spam
The Web's Largest Community Tracking Online Fraud & Abuse | Project Honey Pot

it almost zeroed out spammers (bot or human spammers) but downside lang is sometimes naa uban legit nga email add or legit IP add nga ma deny during registration.

hmm... here's another idea. why not limit the forums a user with 0 posts can go to? after 1 post ma activate na.

but as a suggestion ang only forum na accessible nila is the support forum wherein it is much more closely guarded by mods.

general discussions is much more obvious so dapat walay first time access didto.

1st post needs to introduce himself before he can start posting on other forums... how about it?

i bet clones will ignore this.lol

let them introduce themselves in humor section. if they can't make anyone laugh or if no one will like their post then "NO ENTRY!" to any section!
    JOKE!

not only just introduce himself but to post the introduction in a visible-to-moderator-only thread. that way if naa siya spam dili makita sa general public. his efforts would be lost because the first post would not be seen by anyone.
