... my first PC was bought at CBX-jones. For my part at least, the PC they gave me was all new. But i don't like their costumer service, they didn't entertain me that much coz i only bought one but when someone came in and asked for a quotation of ten units, the the BIG-girl who attended me instantly put on her best smile. When my monitor got busted i went to CBX-near SM to have me a new one, well, their service was good. No complaints there.
.. PC-Quickbuys. I bought my Labtec Arena there, all i can say is, they are too damn slow. I dont know what's up with them, they tend to push the responsibility to different personel. I already said " paliton ko ni, give me one " .. the attendant said " wait sa sir ha "... he went inside and for a whole damn 20 mins he keeps on running outside and inside for no reason at all. Finally somebody came in to entertain me. Really stupid service. I had no choice that time but to buy there coz my canvassing has concluded that they're the only store who has the Labtec Arena, at that time of course.
.. NUTECH. Their price is much higher than most. My 256 MB ram came from Nutech, it was 2600 but when i asked for other shops it was only 2400. This happened a year and a half ago. Too bad i already purchased it. hehehe
..PCX-near SM. I got my Leadtek Capture Card from then, day of purchase..hhmm, they entertained me well. But PCX-jones. Worst service ever, i bought a DVD-writer but then i found some problems with it, so i decided to ask them for technical service. Can you guys imagine, their technical crew doesnt even know how to operate CYBERLINK POWERDVD software. I had to teach them how to do it. I have to wait for almost an hour for a freaking DIAGNOSIS on a DVD-writer. And they don't have the proper accessories for testing, i mean, the different kinds of DVDs.
.. but then again. It's a case to case basis. Don't trust my words, it's my own personal experience. Some of you might have positive feedbacks from these computer shops while other have bad one's.
.. Bottomline. DTI should do something about this. The computer market is very much in demand this days and they, the DTI, SHOULD make steps in order to protect costumers and computer shops alike.
