i agree. our scientists wont be that interested with mars if it doesn't hold any key to anwering some of the questions we have. there are even talks on the possibilities of terraforming mars.
another thing, space faring nations who have sent and are still sending probes to this red planet kept on losing probes, either enroute or while already operational in an orbit around mars or at ground level. could all these incidents be simply attributed to mechanical failures, mishaps with meteors OR "something" is trying to stop us from sending more "robotic eyes" on this red world?
