grabeha na pud kaayo ani nga panghitabo oi hehehehe.. kung maabot man gali, bisan pa ug naka withdraw kag money before the collapse will happen, wala na pud nay gamit. Para nako no, dili nlang ta mag panic kay if bisan tingali half of the people in the world mosunod sa inyo gi advice, imbis nga walay collapse mahitabo, magka collapse nalang jud hinoon. IMO

You have to keep in mind nga banks all over the nation doesn't have enough paper money for everyone, majority of the money is electronic, not physical. So, if mag ka gubot na of course tanan tao mo adto sa bank para kuhaon ilang money and many people have millions of pesos to withdraw.

Ayaw pasilag anang interest rates sa banko. My wife did not approve my decision not to put our money sa banko, but after naa mi emergency unya wala mi maka kuha ug money kay offline ang Unionbank 1 whole day, she understood my decision.

Same goes for my flashlight. I bring a flashlight with my wherever I go, bisan adlawan pa nga dako, naa jud koy dala flashlight sa akong bulsa and my wife used to think I was crazy pero one time nag grocery me sa Metro Colon, iya ko gi sugo ug palit medicine sa first floor unya siya naa sa meat section sa grocery unya nag brown out tapos mga 2 or 3 minutes pa before ni gana ang back-up power, naratol siya kay dili makaya sa iyang celphone nga mahayagan ang agianan. Now, has a pocketlight with her all the time.

life will always be uncertain man gyud. fear lang gyud nako nang mahitabo bah na ang value sa money mawala. i doubt it will happen in our lifetime. siguro sa future generation tingai mawala.

pero i have faith man na maski sa panic, there would still be a value of money. sayo pa sad aron mag panic. pero thanks anyway sa advice, as well as sa thread. at least man lang enlightened ko daan about things to happen.

as for investments, i am not sure if id venture into it. one thing, clueless dyud ko anang part. ikaduha, for me useless to invest labi na rong fear of another crisis that would happen. i never meant to put my money in the bank to invest my money. i use the bank for keepsake purpose lang.

so as long my money's safe in the bank, bahala nalang nang interest wa ko paki. mao dyud na ako purpose sa bank gyud. pero sa inyo gipang-ingon makahahadlok man gud hunahunaon. mao bitaw i leave the event that's about to happen to my faith nalang tingai.

ing ani na lang bai.... this will happen very soon... its not 100% that it will happen, but its also not 100% that it won't happen... the preparations you will do now will make you well equipped regardless whether the change will come in our lifetime or not.... i think we are afraid to face the reality and that's how majority of this world works... they count on us being blind to the real things that are really happening... it is possible that today, Oct 14, 2011, we can still eat 3 times a day and tomorrow, OCT 15, 2011 7am, we can barely afford a slice of bread....exaggerated as it may sound, it is a possibility....that is the power of compounding... a great analogy of that is the one grainof rice doubling in each square of the chess board as you try to fill the entire chess board...

"Now I am going to tell you a story which will give you a hint of the powerful concept on which this project is based. This story is also mentioned in the book, “The Road Ahead”, by Bill Gates. Once a man invented a game called chess, you know, Shatranj, and showed his game to the King. The king was amazed and wanted to gift the inventor. He urged him to ask for any gift he desired. The man said, “I am a simple man, I have no desire for wealth or gold or land. Just like there are 64 squares on this chess board consider 64 days, and give me only one grain of rice on day 1 and keep doubling it on each day, till 64 days.” The king was shocked to hear such a request. He said to himself, “I thought him to be a very intelligent person.” But then he ordered his servants to give the man whatever he desired, and left. On the 15th day, the food minister came rushing to the king and said that the godowns were finished. The king was shocked and called all the mathematicians in his kingdom and asked them to calculate how many grains of rice he would actually have to give to the inventor at the end of 64 days. They calculated and came out with an astounding figure. Can you guess what that figure would be? A few lakhs? Crores?

Do you know friends that the figure is 18 million trillion, that is, 18 followed by 18 zeroes? More than 10 times the entire production of rice in the world! This demonstrates nothing, but the awesome power of Duplication. Have you all heard about famous scientist Sir Albert Einstein? He has written in one of his books that any system based on this power of duplication or compounding will rule the world; it will be the eighth wonder of the world.."

problems of this world are also compounding.... that should wake you up...

Wow.. nice kaayo ang mga reply. Ako "Kung" naa ko kwarta, I would invest in small scale agriculture.

Then if possible, mag stock na ug clean - food worth at least a few months, more if possible.

Then katong gusto mo palit ug "REAL" Money <- naay saying, "if you don't touch it, you don't own it."

I would suggest to buy minted silver or gold kung sakto gyd ang kwarta.

<- no need to invest all of your money here.. pwedi mo mo palit ug yuta pang agriculture if sakto sa budget.. Small scale as suggested above para nako is best.

i think ang american eagle today is around 1,400 - 1,700 per ounce.

    absolute power corrupts absolutely!

^^ there is truth to that bro sa imong gisulti pero ang problem lang pud if silver/gold ang ato gamiton, kung mag shopping ko perting bug-ata sa akong bulsa Tingali dili jud na mawala ang fake pero ma minimize like sa Australia nga ang ilang bills kay special material gigamit.

Anyway, for those people nga ang mindset nila is more on the consumer side, they tend to follow suit sa imohang gi advice but for me and other business minded individuals, that's too much fear with less possibilities to be materialized. Anyway, the world needs fearful people and risk takers. IMO.

i would rather have gold/silver as currencies....you know why? no inflation. a peso backed by gold or silver will remain a peso several years down the road... when a government is into deficity spending, inlfation robs the wealth from all its citizenry to pay for the ill-decisions of the government... "government will not make you rich but it can make you poor" - Ludwig von Mises.... that is so true in our current fiat system.... the problem today is a shift of mindset...our economic knowledge is built upon this fiat currency system, so most of us fail to see the little devils that are hooked within the system.... As economies are deeply intertwined with each other and the rest depend on the largest economy of US, which is slowly going bankrupt, one city at a time and edging close to state bankruptcies...what do you think would happen? domino effect never seen before.... it doesn't hurt to pay attention...if it doesn't happen, its better... but if it does....regrets will not feed the stomach.

"Panics do not destroy capital; they merely reveal the extent to which it has been destroyed by its betrayal into hopelessly unproductive works" John Stuart Mills...

ang collapse nahitabo bai, hinay2x pero compounding....it started when we totally used paper money and accelerated when US decided to have two prolonged wars....if it were another country in US place right now, the collapse will not be as fast...

    IMO.

    unsa imong pasabot bug-at?

ang 1 ounce nga silver is equivalent to 1,500 pesos.. asay mas bug-at kay sa sinsiyo nimo nga 1,500 pesos?

nya ang 1 gram nga gold is 2,500 pesos?

I totally agree, kay ang US currency is the world reserve currency.

    @ IstoryaMember:

Sa U.S. "MAG PRINT RA SILA KWARTA - MA BAY RAN NA DAYON NILA ILANG UTANG." Simple ra kaayo nila..

Conspiracy theory? Greenspan said it himself.

Alan Greenspan: "We Can Always Print Money" To Pay Debts - YouTube

Alan Greenspan said " “The United States can pay any debt it has because we can always print money to do that. So there is zero probability of default.”

KARON SAKTO BA NA? FAIR NA SA UBAN NASUD?

Nya ? unsa man ron? pag ma collapse na ang US Economy if mahitabo na ang Quantitative Easing 3? Unsa man dayon?
