Ok ra na ang preparation oi. Dapat ingon ana gyud kay tagsa ra gud na i-held diri sa sugbo ang summit, so cebu should give its best shot at it. Unya kung successful ni nga event, maka-benefit man gyud ang sugbu ani ba.

Default Re: 4 Days holiday during ASEAN summit.. OK or NOT?

though revenues of private firms will suffer it is essential that the ASEAN dates should be declared a holiday for the following reasons:

1] there is an imminent threat
2] it is the 1st time we will be holding such magnitude of an event
3] our LGU does not want to compromise the delegates' safety
4] we do not have enough security facilities
    5] lesser traffic

...it is better to be safe than sorry. the "visible" improvments and putting cebu on the map is enough compensation for the temporary discomfort. so the least the cebuanos can do is whine & b!tch about it.

selective holiday is also unfair because government employees will enjoy holiday premiums while private employees does not.
