sir, ask unta ko naa ko 10 months rott, then akong cage kay taas2x man if akong i out dli gyd siya mo gawas..ako pa bitaron ang iyang legs para siya mogawas..tagsa ra siya makagawas..maayo nalng sa usa ka week kaduha siya makagawas...unsay maayo nakung buhaton?

Since you said nga at least kaduha ra siya in a week makagawas sa iyang cage, it could be fearful siya nga something mahitabo niya inig gawas. Without knowing sa history sa imong dog, usually naa nay cause sa FEARFULNESS, perhaps something happened when he was a pup while naa siya gawas sa iyang cage thats why na-associate niya nga "BAD THINGS HAPPEN WHEN I'M OUTSIDE". CAUSES could be LOUD STARTLING SOUNDS or being ATTACKED by other DOGS or maybe THE DOG STEPPED ON SOMETHING UNPLEASANT without you knowing.

What we need to do is countercondition his mindset from "BAD THINGS HAPPEN OUTSIDE TO GOOD THINGS HAPPEN OUTSIDE.

The best advise I can give is during MEALTIMES, place his FOOD BOWL just a foot outside his cage and you move away to maintain distance. Since BEING HAPPY is the opposite of FEAR, when he eats the food he will never be able to access the emotion of FEAR since he is in a HAPPY STATE.

From here, just gradually increase the DISTANCE you place his FOOD DISH.

As always, try to avoid being CONFRONTATIONAL ala CESAR MILLAN. If you force him to do something he is afraid of, you'll only worsen his situation. In a human point of view, you'll be like PUSHING SOMEONE OFF A CLIFF WHO HAS FEAR OF HEIGHTS, for sure his PHOBIA won't be fixed.

Sir gud pm, ask lng ta ko sir, pde nako i pa train sa imu akong golden retriever? 1 yr and 8 months xa karun, if so possible dili lng nako i board akong doggy? pde ra man sad ta mag abot sa Basak dapit naa man dra amo office. BTW taga guadalupe diay ko... kani akong GR na train na ni xa ug sugod ngadto sa Butuan pero wa ka human kay kinahanglan nami mu balik sa Cebu, Obedience Training lng ako sir. Akong offer if dre sa balay willing ko mo pay P500.00 per session but kung ngadto sa Basak willing ko mo pay P350.00 kay maighan raman sa SRP. Hoping for your feed back and God bless!
