Why pamper life's complexities when the leather runs smooth on the passenger seat?

here's the latest config of my armored industries backpack:

i replaced the right side pouch with an SDS MOLLE Canteen Pouch to house my AFP Aluminum Canteen and Cup. This was taken last saturday during iStorya.net Photography Club's phototrek at Budlaan. I usually carry that canteen during treks because it allows me to boil water in it just in case I run out of water where clean water source might be far or unavailable.

Got a 1994 Habagat Hamog 40. Used it in trips to Southern China near the Vietnam border during the mid 90s. Abused it a lot, got some punctures, cuts/tears, stains, busted zippers. Brought it back to Habagat in 2007 to have it repaired for a fee but they refused. Continued to used it until it failed on me in HK in 2008. Dumped it there on that year.

Replaced it with a smaller Lafuma XCourse 28 ski pack in HK. I don't ski but I like it because of it's very light weight and you can access the interior throught the ski pouch at the sides. It's also smaller than the Hamog and fits me well as I'm a bit older now and I don't like carrying heavy packs anymore. So far this pack have been with me and have been to trips to the US and Asia. It now got some stains and scratches but still works fine.
