Edward Mordrake is claimed to have 2 faces, he lived in the 19th century. According to written accounts, his extra face would whisper horrible things to him at night. That, coupled with the social anxiety he perhaps felt during his time, he committed suicide.

What not a lot of people know is that, most articles use "claimed", "supposedly" etc so this case remains to be proven (at least from what I know) particularly on the part about his twin face "whispering horrible things to him". His case is known as the parasitic twin/ the devil's face. It's caused by the merging of a twin inside the womb. In other cases (although there are only a few all through out the history), there's an undeveloped primitive, extra brain inside them. So going back to edward's case, who knows maybe that was a well developed brain..either that or he's developed a certain mental disorder causing him to hear these voices (maybe he was having hallucinations?) and maybe he became schizophrenic?
