yes, sa city hall jud. u can go there personally and they'll give u the pure vermi the ones i got dont have any bugs nor coconut parts in it. I usually buy 100kg or more every month from them.

The citi hall is right beside BIR (past the flyover behind Ayala and Pag-ibig). U can speak to the tanods or people near by to show u the direction. good luck!

I get that question a lot. If u search in GOOGLE, it'll tell you "NO, it's not the same", and it'll answer pretty much why.

Basically, organic gardening means u grow your crops in its most 'natural' habbitat with 'natural fertilizers'. When growing hydroponically, u can quickly pick up that plants dont naturally grow in pipes, with light bulbs and water pumps. Secondly, in hydroponics, u use chemical nutrient solutions to replace the nutrients the plants need from the soil (since hydroponics is SOIL-LESS gardening). t

There CAN be Organic-Hydroponic Produce, in where u can use organic liquid solutions instead of non-organic chemical solutions.

i do both organic gardening (my tomatoes, ocra and herbs), Hydroponic gardening (my lettuces) and Organicy-hydroponic gardening (my other herbs) ... I'm in Talisay too.

OMG! It's the hydropnics guru in Cebu! (arms raised and bowing down). Deeply humbled by your reply. I have read your posts and some of your blogs just today and kudos to your achievement to note that with such a short time you have accomplished so much. I would surely love to see your garden one of these days kay duol ra man diay ta. Another question, is it cost effective, I mean like the bulbs of lettuce you presented, how much would you sell it compared to the ones in the grocery shops?

I'm no guru . i'm still an amateur. there are many hydroponics enthusiasts here in istorya that have accomplished way more than i have.

i cost my lettuces at php170 a kilo, retail.. which is just about the same as the ones in the groceries (approx php170-200+ a kilo). But let me tell you.. that they are LIGHT AS FEATHERS! it takes me about 30 heads of lettuce to reach a kilo..well...that would depend on what kind of lettuce really..since some lettuces hold lots of water more than other.

There are restaurants who want wholesale prices though... and they KNOW how to bargain! sometimes they demand it at php80 a kilo

though, i've slowed down on lettuce production. they're sensitive like babies and drive me up the wall.

But when it comes to home gardening, harvesting ur own lettuce to eat (be it organic or hydroponic) after growing them urself feels soo much better than buying it off the shelf. It tastes better too (psychological since u wanna believe that ur efforts taste good. haha )
